The story

When you feel lost, the only map that matters is the one that shows you the way to yourself

In recent times, when we had to stay at home, and we saw an overwhelming number of changes happening in our daily lives, we noticed a steady decline in our physical condition, eating habits and sleeping patterns. It is in that moment that we realised we need to take action but we didn’t know how and where to start.

Looking for tools to help us build new habits, we found some that were either too complex or simply inefficient. Even if the advice was to start small, they visually nudged us to start more habits at once. This widened the perceived gap between where we were and where we needed to get. It was the distance from haven to earth.

The idea that we have to change made our motivation for taking action disappear. Changing, building good habits, meant were not fine as we were, not strong enough to face adversity. Our negative self-talk was more and more present and our self-confidence started to slowly go downwards. We needed an anchor to remind us about ourselves and our inner power. This is how we realised that building new habits is actually a revealing process. It is about bringing to light what we already have inside. From that point onwards, everything became easier. We felt a boost of power.

Yet we still didn’t have a tool to keep us on the right track. Then, one day, looking at a world map on our wall we realised that we hadn’t travelled in so long. When we don’t have the freedom to explore the world and we feel lost all we need is a map to guide us back to ourselves. If we want to conquer the world and achieve our dreams, we need to get in touch with our inner power and have good habits to guide us towards success. We need a Boost Habit Map.

The yellow circle became the representation of our inner power and we started to grow it every day. It acted as a visual anchor that helped us keep in contact with ourselves and alleviated all the negative self-talk. We started to see more of what we have instead of what we lack. We understood that what we are trying to “build” is already inside and we just need to bring daily proof to reinforce the aspects that are not yet seen.

With this fresh change in our perspective, we found it easier to act in the right direction, to activate our inner resources and to climb on an upward spiral. Even on days when we didn’t keep our habit, it was just a battle that we lost and not the war. We didn’t lose our confidence, it was still inside us. We still have days when we win, days when we lose, but we always continue the journey. The obstacles just help us grow stronger.

The Boost Habit Map came to life from our needs, it’s what helped us when nothing worked, together with a change in perspective. We wanted to share it with the world, so everyone can reveal their better selves and become the hero of their own life.
